Each ball is felted and finished by hand, so faces, markings, colors and size vary from set to set.

Good to know

Use 3 to 6 balls for small and medium loads, all 6 for large ones.
A little fuzz at first is normal. Trim loose fibers if you like.
Like a light scent? Add a drop or two of essential oil and let it soak in first.

Do wool dryer balls actually work?

Yes. Wool dryer balls tumble between your clothes and keep them apart, so warm air can move through the load instead of around a damp bundle. That helps cut drying time, softens fabric naturally and helps reduce static cling and wrinkles.

Results depend on your dryer, the load and the fabrics, so give your crew a few loads to settle in.

How many wool dryer balls should I use per load?

Use 3 to 6 for a small or medium load, and all 6 for a large load, towels or bedding. The more of the crew in the drum, the more clothes they keep apart. Not sure? Toss in all six.

Will my set look exactly like the photos?

Not exactly, and that’s part of the charm. Each ball is felted and finished by hand, so faces, markings and colors vary a little from set to set. You’ll get six wool dryer balls in the design you choose, each with its own personality.

Each ball is about 3 inches (7.5 cm) across and weighs about 1.8 oz (50 g), a generous XL size. Every set has six balls and a drawstring bag to keep the crew together.

How long do wool dryer balls last?
